As an affiliate of the Boys and Girls Club of America, Youth Programs at Vandenberg strives to offer the best in wholesome and worthwhile leisure time activities for family members of active duty, retired military and civilian employees of the base. Parent participation is highly encouraged and any volunteer aid for sports activities, or from someone with knowledge and expertise in a specific field is always welcome. The Youth Activities Program runs many different activities including sports programs, instructional courses and social functions.

Militarychildcare.com is your first stop in registering your child for child care at the Child Development Center, Family Child Care, and School Age Care.
Militarychildcare.com (MCC) is a Department of Defense (DoD) website for military families seeking child care. This single online gateway provides comprehensive information on military-operated or military-subsidized child care programs worldwide and simplifies the child care search and request process. The site enables families to create a household profile, conduct child care searches, submit requests for care, and manage their requests at any time and from any location. Through MCC, eligible families can search and request care for full day and part day options in facility-based and home-based programs for children from birth through age 12. Families may remain on a preferred program's waitlist even after being offered care or enrolling in another program.

Give Parents a Break (GPAB)/Parents Night Out (PNO)
Sometimes, we need a break from the stresses of parenting. The Give Parents
a Break program provides childcare for eligible parents who are subject to
unique stresses due to the nature of military life including deployments,
remote tours of duty, and extended working hours. Partnering with the Air
Force Aid Society (AFAS) who pays the cost of childcare, the Child
Development Center (CDC) and School Age Care (SAC) programs open once a
month in the evening (1800 - 2300) for families referred to the program by
base agencies such as the Airman & Family Readiness Center, Chapel, Family
Advocacy Office, Hospital, First Sergeants, Commanders, and the Child and
Youth Programs Flight.
Patrons without referral certificates may register for our Parents Night Out
(PNO) program held in conjunction with GPAB and pay a flat rate of $25.00
per child for the evening. All PNO payments must be made NLT than the
Wednesday before the program date.
See the current calendar at the link for additional information, programs
dates, and registration deadlines.
