The Child Development Center was dedicated to providing quality child care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The CDC is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Give Parents A Break Program
The "Give Parents A Break" Program is offered once a month to Active Duty families. This program is intended to assist parents under stress, due to the many transitions military families face.
To participate in this program, a referral form, 1181 emergency contact sheet and current immunization record must be on file with the facility. Patrons can request a referral from a Squadron Commander, First Sergeant, Chaplain, Medical Professional, the Family Support Center, or the Child Development Center.

FOOD PROGRAM
The Vandenberg AFB: Child Development Center, part-day enrichment program, school-age program
and Family Child Care program announces sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
The program is available without charge to all enrolled children at the following locations:
